You’ll find clubs mainly from London but also Brum, Essex and Manchester.

ROCUP

The Rocup runners cruising through Bullring on a Sunday morning has become a Brum staple and one I hope never stops. Rocup is a well established run club, hosting events with upwards 1,000, amassing 20k on the gram and partnering with Gymshark.

The founder Rudy O’Halloran started the club, inspired by a cellmate who introduced him to his lifestyle of structure and discipline, eventually convincing him to join him in his 5 am workouts. A testament to the infectious power of a disciplined life. Now, Rudy has stirred that passion to his whole city.

Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, old or young, male or female; Rocup accommodates all, uniting people, motivating people and uplifting people. Check out their mini series ‘Run your mouth’ to hear more.

Since they emerged post pandemic they have kept the momentum strong and grown only larger and larger, a real mark of their consistency and strong culture. A vibrant run session awaits those who tap in to this lively group, in addition to incredible support and now even stylish long sleeves; the sky is the limit.

The electric group starts with a pre-runs stretch before kicking off a 3.5km to 5km run on Thursdays at 7 pm in Northumberland Alley. Go at the pace you feel comfortable and rest assured you will likely be one of many first timers.

If you fancy a longer weekend run then meet them on sundays at 10.30 am with an 11 am start at Rembrandt Gardens, Little Venice.

NAIVE RUN CLUB

As the name suggests this really is a beginner friendly run club that is light hearted. You can run as well as walk because getting started, nobody expects you to have the endurance to run continuously and there’s no shame in that.

If running is something less of a lifestyle and you refuse to get bogged down by the strava jargon then this is definitely for you.

Prepare for an early 7am start at their Clubhouse for a quick warm-up before heading out on a 5.5km loop over Wandsworth Bridge and Putney Bridge, afterwards enjoy a coffee 20% off and occasional freebies from brands they collab with to chomp on during your post-run chit-chat.
